Ireland: Health Service Executives (HSE) Investigating Two Cases of Zika Virus

    231

The HSE is investigating two unrelated cases of Zika virus in two adults in Ireland.

The Health authority says both are currently well and fully recovered.

Both individuals had a history of travel to a Zika affected country.

Neither case is at risk of pregnancy.

Meanwhile, health officials in Texas say they’ve diagnosed the first case of Zika contracted through sexual activity.

The disease is usually spread by mosquitoes.
