Investing in Africa’s Future

Energy remains a major growth driver on the continent and generates a significant portion of the GDP for many African countries. The continent boasts five of the top 30 oil-producing countries in the world, and nearly $2 trillion of investments are expected by 2036. Africa’s strategic importance for global energy security continues to grow especially with recent discoveries in countries like Mozambique.

This panel will discuss the current state of the oil and gas sector, incentives and policies to promote FDI and how governments and corporations can work together to increase and sustain production.
